josh mckinney, CHVB Varisty head coach
Coach Josh McKinney is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas, where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in kinesiology with minors in secondary education and biology. This will be McKinney’s 13th year teaching and his 7th year at Colleyville Heritage. Coach McKinney has been a part of several playoff appearances at CHHS.

Coach McKinney spent three years teaching and coaching in Caddo Mills ISD, and spent three years as the head volleyball coach at Bonham High School. In 2014, Coach McKinney’s Varsity team went 27-11 and were Bi-District Champions, eventually falling in the Area Round to State Finalist Argyle. Coach McKinney currently coaches at Texas Advantage Volleyball Club and has been coaching club volleyball for 13 years. Coach McKinney spent six years at Skyline Juniors prior to moving to TAV. He has been to USAV Junior Nationals eleven times and his teams have medaled on seven occasions, including a National Championship in 2014, 2021, and 2022.
